Descriptions:

Foam filled fenders are unsinkable with their thermo-laminated, closed cell polyethylene foam core. They have a tough outer skin of reinforced polyurethan elastomer which is available in black and a variety of colours inluding orange and navy grey.

Two types of foam filled fenders are available,depending on the severity of operationg conditions. Hook type with a chain tension member through the centre of the fender and pad eyes each end, and chain tyre net type for the heavy duty applications. They provide good energy capacity with lowest reaction force and hull pressures, extra thick skins are also available for offshore use.

Applications:

Heavy duty ship-to-ship lightering operations

All navy vessel berths and cruise terminals due to low hull pressure non-makring-polyurethane skin and the advantage of a proportional increase of reaction force and energy absorption.

Advantages:

1. Comparing with ordinary compress rubber fender, the greatest merit of floating fender lies in its floating ability, free from effect of tide range;
2. Unlike charged rubber fender, it is not necessary to be charged, hence, free from maintenance.
3. It is safe and need not fear the danger of blast.
4. Adopting flange joint, it is easy to install and move.
